This young Sri Lankan woman was beheaded with a
sword in a small, dusty town in Saudi Arabia, alone, thousands of miles away
from family and friends. She was
displaced to Saudi Arabia in 2005, to work as a housemaid after the tsunami
devasted her home. She worked and sent
money home to care for her family.
She was sentenced to death at the age of 17, after she was accused of
strangling her employer’s four month old son.
